It wasn’t that long ago there were zero stallholders using Issimo. And now there’s 20,000? How does that happen?! Worse, we’ve barely had a chance to check in with more than a fraction of you to date. This has to change.

We want to bring you into the loop. We’ve been working to make markets simple, and to make the industry thrive, and it’s time for stallholders to start having their say, and driving the changes to come.

There’s some big upgrades brewing right now, just for you.

DOCS HAS HAD A BIG UPGRADE


You might have seen the latest upgrade - AI for docs. No more switching between tabs, having to find and enter the fields, and emails going back and forward with markets asking for your god damn docs. It’s sorted.

And why do you even need to provide docs when you’re not even approved yet? For markets that enable it, you don't have to provide docs just to apply. First, apply and find out if you're accepted. And then, closer to the date, if you're approved, we'll send you a reminder to sort your docs out. So much better!

Nobody likes docs, least of all us. We hope these changes make your life a little bit simpler.

We wanted to do something special for our first proper time reaching out to you guys. Something that would have an immediate effect on your life. And we can now start to do things like this because so many markets and stallholders are coming together in the one place.

How’s that for bargaining power? We’ve been really impressed with Melbourne based startup Zeller. Their business friendly attitude, top notch app, new features, and local support (based in Melbourne and Sydney) really stood out to us. Zeller is serious about being your first choice for payments, and becoming a favourite of the markets industry.

They're also working on payment features no one else is. If enough stallholders sign up for Zeller, and give us the thumbs up that it's good, it opens the door to some really cool features in the future to keep making your life simple on market day.

Best of all, they’re the cheapest in the industry.

How much are you paying with Square? 1.9%?

Even just to have a backup in case Square goes down again, it costs nothing to sign up and takes about 5 minutes. You’ll be able to take payments by tapping a card on your phone, or upgrade to a sleek little terminal. No need for that old Square reader anymore.

THE FUTURE OF ISSIMO MARKETS

At long last we're also able to work on making the stallholder experience amazing! We all needed market managers to be happy first, and we won't stop building the markets side, but with 150+ events signed up, more onboarding, and great feedback coming in, it's obvious that for everything to keep moving towards seamless, we need to get into your shoes now and keep reworking things for you too until they just click. There's so much room here for improvement, and we're excited to give you a sneak peek of what's in testing and coming in the next release.

After the next series of updates, for the most part, gone will be the dark grey forms that you’ve gotten to know over the past five years. Our homepage will feature a slick new map with all of your favourite markets and exhibitions from around Australia.

You’ll be able to filter by type (eg farmers, twilight etc), see markets near me this weekend, or show me the BIG markets and exhibitions. You know the type, the ones that everyone’s heard of that seem to go as far as the eye can see. There's more information on event listings about what to expect, and it's far easier to see your status and set your preferences for any given event.

After your initial info has been filled out, it’s just a few clicks to let the market know you want in again. And then just a click on their end to confirm.

We’ve been working on a whole new calendar for you too, and actively confirming dates with every market we know of around Australia.

This means that you can plan your market life by working out which days you want to operate then selecting from every event we’ve ever found.

Naturally, this means that whether they’ve upgraded or not, you can still plan your private calendar around where you are going. And make your own private notes so you can keep on top of things. We’re sure you’ll have feedback about this. Let us know, we want it to work for you.

Best of all, when markets enable event planning (over 150 enabled so far and growing) you’ll be able to deal directly with them right from your own calendar in one experience that's seamless for everyone. Get confirmation that you’re definitely in. See your site on a map, chat with the market manager, and find out more easily what's expected of you on the day.

Markets you’ve saved as favourites will come up front and centre so you’ll never forget what’s on and whether you’re locked in or not.

And finally when everything’s sorted... you’ll get your bump in info right here too. We affectionately call this view your ‘boarding pass’. Of course, you’ll still receive emails along the way, but now it’s also all in one place.

This way as soon as site numbers are released, you’ll be right on top of it.

And after the fact, you can even keep track of which markets you did the best at. You can choose to give markets anonymous feedback on how you're doing, so they're on top of things, or you can lock it down so only you ever see these scores, to keep track of your progress between markets and through the years.

We’ve had so much fun designing and doing the earthworks for these new stallholder focused features. We know, it’s been too long and the markets have had all the fun so far.

We’re excited to share that you guys are in the limelight now and we want to seriously improve your experience, and just say thanks for sticking with us and for all of the amazing feedback, compliments, and honestly sometimes just patience while we’ve worked to simplify the markets side of things.
